‘Good’ News for º£½ÇÉçÇøÂÒÂ×

We are delighted that our school has been rated ‘good’ by Ofsted, and our early years provision as ‘outstanding’.

We are proud that inspectors recognised that “the school’s vision to ‘inspire, nurture, enable’ is lived out daily by pupils throughout all aspects of their learning” and they noted the “warm and welcoming” environment, where they were keenly greeted by our children. The inspectors remarked that “pupils behave well” in lessons and around the school and we are particularly pleased to see in the report that playtimes are “joyous and energetic”, where our children play well together.

The inspectors recognised that “all staff have high expectations for pupils’ academic achievement” and complimented the “carefully considered curriculum (which) helps all pupils, including children in the early years, to get off to a flying start to their educational journey.” Reading plays a key role in this, and the report highlights our focus on reading, the excellent training our teachers receive and the breadth of resources available to teach early reading effectively.

We are thrilled that the inspectors commended our staff, noting that “Pupils are well-known by staff. This ensures that pupils get the help they need to learn positively.” Our children are “expertly supported by teachers, who ensure that learning is adapted to individual needs”, which guarantees all children receive the right help at the right time.

Head of School, Laura Burke, commented “I am absolutely delighted that Ofsted has rated º£½ÇÉçÇøÂÒÂ× as Good with an Outstanding Early Years. Over the two days, the inspectors saw the ‘high aspirations’ we have for all our learners as well as the ‘well-sequenced and highly ambitious curriculum’ that we have created. Our relentless focus on Oracy was celebrated throughout the process. The Senior Leadership Team and I are thrilled that our growing school has been recognised for the strengths that we see daily and we are excited to continue developing the school.”

(For GLF website only) This is the first Ofsted inspection since º£½ÇÉçÇøÂÒÂ× opened in September 2019, the school currently has classes from Nursery to Y4.
